Changelog

What's new in The Bell CRM. Newest first.

1 October 2026

Your own order on the Leads board and list

  • Anyone who emails you or fills in one of your forms jumps to the top of their column with a red dot, until you open them.
  • Drag a card within a column to pin it where you want it. Your order is your own; teammates keep theirs.
  • Prefer the list view? Pin leads there too, and drag pinned rows into your own working order.
  • Each column now shows 25 cards with a "Show more" button, so long columns stay readable.
  • The rest of each column is sorted by what needs attention: open suggestions first, then whoever has gone quiet longest.
  • The Customers list now shows customers going quiet first, instead of the most recently edited.
  • New "No tags" filter to find people nobody has tagged yet.

30 September 2026

Choose who becomes a customer, and steadier sequence sending

  • Winning a deal now asks which of the company's leads should become contacts, instead of converting everyone. People on the deal are pre-selected.
  • Marking a company as a customer by hand asks the same question.
  • Losing a deal now only moves that deal's leads back to Awareness, and never touches existing customers.
  • Customers no longer carry a funnel stage, so the Customers list is simpler, without stage tabs.
  • Set a daily limit for sequence emails per email account. Sends are spread evenly through the day, and if your mail server pushes back, sending pauses instead of failing.
  • Emails you send from The Bell through your own SMTP account now also appear in your mailbox's Sent folder.
  • Uploading a file that's too large now tells you clearly instead of failing silently.

29 September 2026

Several people on a deal, and sequences that stop when someone replies

  • Add several people from the same company to a deal and choose the main contact.
  • The deal page now shows everyone's activity, grouped by person.
  • Sequences stop automatically when the person replies. Out-of-office replies don't count, and you can resume with one click.
  • Set your workspace time zone. Sequence emails only go out on weekdays during working hours.
  • Pick up an unfinished discovery call where you left off. Questions the call didn't cover are marked "Not discussed" instead of guessed.

28 September 2026

Task notes, smarter suggestions, and discovery calls in any language

  • Add a note to a task. It shows in the timeline when the task is done.
  • Create a task straight from a person's page.
  • Copy any email template to start a new one from it.
  • Stage requirements that need an answer turn green as soon as you save one.
  • Suggestions clear when you log an activity, create a task or send an email to that person. Dismissing one keeps it hidden until there's a new reason.
  • Discovery calls: keep the original language or translate to English. The original transcript is saved and viewable.

22-23 September 2026

Loss reasons, deal by deal

  • The Loss reasons report now lists every lost deal with its company, reason, date and value. Sort by any column and export exactly what you see.
  • Correct a deal's loss or cancellation reason afterwards, right on the deal page. Reports pick up the change automatically.

21 September 2026

One task list

  • Tasks is now one list of all open tasks, soonest due first, with overdue tasks clearly flagged. A person's own task list shows the same flag.

18 September 2026

Closed Cancelled, and clearer trial notices

  • New deal outcome, Closed Cancelled, for deals that end without a real win or loss, such as a shelved project. A reason is required, and a deal that already has an offer sent can't be cancelled.
  • Set your own loss and cancellation reasons in Settings.
  • Close a deal by dragging it onto Won, Lost or Cancelled on the Deals board.
  • An expired trial now shows the date its data will be deleted, so nothing disappears without warning.

15-16 September 2026

Safer bulk sequence enrolling

  • A sequence can now take up to 100 new people per 7 days, to protect your sender reputation. The enroll window shows how many places are left.
  • Remove several people from a sequence at once with Unenroll selected.
  • If one email account has a sending problem, sequences on other accounts keep going.

11 September 2026

Quicker deal setup

  • Create a new company right from the New Deal form, next to the existing new person option.
  • Industry and size options now come from your own workspace settings everywhere, with a clear prompt when none are set up yet.

8 September 2026

Reports rebuilt around decisions

  • Reports now has four tabs, each built around a decision: Pipeline & Forecast, Performance, Activity and Needs Attention.
  • See what's likely to close this month and this quarter, and which pipeline stages slow deals down.
  • Win and loss by month, lead source, industry and company size, shown as charts.
  • New Activity tab: calls, emails, meetings and LinkedIn touches over time, plus your call connect rate.
  • Needs Attention groups quiet accounts into 30, 60 and 90+ days, with a separate list of people never contacted.
  • A renewals outlook shows which contracts are coming up for renewal.

7 September 2026

More than one admin, and quick renames

  • Promote a teammate to admin, so a workspace can have more than one.
  • Rename a deal by clicking its name on the deal page.

3 September 2026

Smart Input asks instead of guessing

  • When Smart Input isn't sure who a note is about or what kind of activity it is, it asks you instead of guessing.
  • Pasted LinkedIn messages and meetings are now logged as the right activity type.
  • New suggestions tell you when a lead looks ready to move from Awareness to Interest, or from Desire to Action. Nothing moves until you confirm.
  • Suggestions load much faster in large workspaces.

31 August 2026

Discounts on offers

  • Offers now show line and deal discounts, both in the PDF and in the preview before you create it.

28 August 2026

Merge duplicates, full emails and Leads filters

  • Merge two duplicate people from the Persons list. You choose which details to keep, and all their history moves to one record.
  • Expanding an email in a person's timeline now shows the whole email, not just the first lines.
  • Filter Leads by tag, industry, size and owner, the same way as Customers.

25 August 2026

Settings reorganized, deal safeguards, and form styling

  • Settings is now split into three tabs — Settings, Workings within the Bell, and Team — instead of one long page.
  • Closed deals (Won or Lost) are now locked to prevent accidental changes. Made a mistake? Create a new deal instead.
  • Closing a deal Won now automatically promotes the company to a customer and its people from lead to contact.
  • Add a new person straight from a company's page, no need to navigate away.
  • Style your forms with your own fonts and colors.
  • Click any stage in your deal pipeline to see what it means and what should happen before a deal moves forward.

24 August 2026

Microsoft 365/Outlook support and a team-invite fallback

  • Connect a Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com email account directly, alongside Gmail and SMTP.
  • Team invite not landing in someone's inbox? Copy the invite link and send it yourself, through Slack, Teams, or however you reach them.
  • A person's owner now automatically follows their company's owner, and you can change either one directly.

21 August 2026

Leads board, safer inbound email, and contract renewals

  • Persons is now split into a drag-and-drop Leads board by stage and a separate Customers list, with a field picker so you control what each one shows.
  • Emails from senders who aren't already a contact no longer create new leads automatically. They wait in a review queue where you can add them as a person or ignore them.
  • Moving a contact forward a stage now shows a few quick signs to check before you confirm the move.
  • Set a contract end date on a deal and get an automatic reminder task before it's due for renewal.
  • Cleaner, grouped sidebar navigation.

20 August 2026

Faster deal creation

  • Add a brand-new person right from the New Deal form, no need to leave and come back.

19 August 2026

More reliable task creation

  • Creating a task now lets you pick who or which deal it's for right in the form, and tells you clearly if something went wrong instead of failing silently.

18 August 2026

Calendar feeds and meeting invites

  • Connect any calendar, not just Google: paste in an Outlook, Proton, or iCloud calendar feed link and see those events too.
  • Calendar setup instructions now show right in the app instead of sending you to an external help page.
  • Your Dashboard and Tasks calendar is now a full month view instead of a flat list, so you can see what's coming up at a glance.
  • Log a meeting on a contact with a real date and time, and download a calendar invite for it.

17 August 2026

Delivery pipeline, calendar, and Documents polish

  • Build your own post-sale delivery pipeline: custom stages for what happens after a deal is won, each one optionally gated by its own checklist before a deal can move to the next stage.
  • See your upcoming Google Calendar events right on your Dashboard and Tasks page.
  • See who owns a contact or company right on their detail page, not just in the list view.
  • Save an attachment from an email you received straight to Documents.
  • Edit a document's category and tags directly from the Documents library list.

14 August 2026

Ownership, attachments, admin controls, and a rebuilt pipeline board

  • See and filter by who owns each Person, Company, and Deal.
  • Attach files to any email you send, straight from your Documents or your computer.
  • The Deals board was rebuilt as a classic per-stage pipeline, sorted by close date, with a "Later" group for anything further out so it doesn't clutter the board. Closed deals (won or lost) now stay out of your active pipeline view automatically.
  • Workspace admins can delete the entire workspace and cancel the subscription, with a safety window to cancel that action before it's final.
  • Upload an RFP directly to a deal, filed automatically in your Documents.
  • Tollgate answers are now clearly visible on the deal page instead of getting buried.

13 August 2026

Offer Template Builder

  • Build reusable offer templates from content blocks, some fixed, some auto-filled from the deal's contact, company, or pricing.
  • Generate a polished PDF offer straight from a deal with one click, pre-filled with the right details.
  • Add your company's branding (name, VAT, tagline, logo) once in Settings and it shows up automatically as the letterhead on every offer.

12 August 2026

Admin handoff, self-serve account deletion, targeted templates

  • Transfer workspace admin to a teammate.
  • Cancel your subscription and delete your workspace, or delete just your own account, entirely self-serve, no need to contact support.
  • Target email templates by a company's industry or size, so the right message reaches the right audience automatically.
  • New in-app feedback button, right in the header.

11 August 2026

Rich text email composer

  • Composing an email now has a real formatting toolbar: bold, links, bulleted and numbered lists. No more formatting getting silently stripped when you hit send.

10–11 August 2026

Safer deletes, team management, more reliable automation

  • Delete a person or company with proper safeguards, linked deals are detached rather than lost.
  • Remove a team member and their records are automatically reassigned to you, nothing gets orphaned.
  • Rename your workspace from Settings.
  • Automated email sequences send more reliably, especially for larger batches.

7 August 2026

Pricing on deals, cleaner unsubscribes, smarter imports

  • Add priced line items to a deal, quantity, per-line discounts, and an overall deal discount, all calculated automatically.
  • Contacts can unsubscribe from marketing emails with one click, and forms now properly record when someone gave consent.
  • Tag contacts as you import them from a CSV, useful for tagging a whole list by source or campaign, and import job titles along with everything else.

6 August 2026

Discovery call framework

  • Build your own discovery call structure, tailored to how you actually sell, with AI helping you draft the questions.
  • Guide yourself through a call live, or paste in a transcript afterward, either way, get an AI-written summary and next step.
  • Require a completed discovery call before a deal can move past a pipeline stage you choose.
  • See a contact's full discovery call history, and when multiple people at the same company have gone through discovery, get a combined view of where they agree and where they don't.

4–5 August 2026

Company hierarchies, notes, and a Documents library

  • Companies can now have a parent company and subsidiaries, with combined "group totals" shown alongside each company's own numbers.
  • Add free-text notes to any contact or company.
  • Track a contact's "Main driver," what they're actually trying to solve.
  • Upload documents to contacts and companies, and browse everything in one place in the new Documents section, with categories and tags.
  • Faster load times across Companies, Deals, and Contacts.

Export your data

  • Download all your CRM data as a CSV export, anytime, from Settings.

Tags

  • Bulk-tag contacts straight from the Persons list.

26–27 May 2026

Email templates and smarter automation

  • Attach a PDF to any email template.
  • Trigger a sequence automatically when someone submits a form, not just manually.
  • Choose exactly when a sequence starts, immediately or on a schedule, whether enrolling one person or in bulk.
