Use case

Built for consultants selling their own time, not a sales team's product

Independent consulting has a specific rhythm most CRMs don't account for: you're delivering client work and generating the next engagement at the same time, often in the same week. The Bell is built around fast logging and a clear pipeline view for exactly that rhythm.

The actual problem

Consulting pipelines are lumpier and more relationship-driven than a typical sales pipeline: a warm lead might go quiet for two months while you're heads-down delivering, then resurface needing an answer this week. Most CRM structure is built around a steadier cadence of a dedicated sales function. For a solo consultant, the CRM has to survive long gaps and sudden urgency equally well, without requiring the kind of constant tending a sales team's CRM assumes.

What actually has to be true for this to work

Picking a stalled conversation back up has to be fast. When a lead resurfaces after two months of silence, you need the full context, what was discussed, what they were interested in, immediately, not reconstructed from memory. The Bell's unified timeline puts calls, notes, and synced email together per contact, so the full history is there the moment you need it again.

Logging has to survive being done between client sessions, not during dedicated admin time. Consultants rarely have a fixed block for CRM upkeep, updates happen in the gaps between delivery work. Smart Input is built for exactly that: describe what happened in a sentence between meetings, and it's logged without needing a longer session at a desk.

The pipeline view has to show what's actually warm, not just what's recent. An AIDA-stage view (Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action) answers the real question, who's actually moving toward a decision, rather than just surfacing whoever you talked to most recently, which is a poor proxy for where a lumpy, relationship-driven pipeline actually stands.

What this doesn't solve

The Bell won't manage client delivery, project scope, or invoicing, it's a sales pipeline tool, not a practice-management platform. If you need retainer tracking, project management, or client-facing portals as part of the same tool, that's a different category of product, and worth being honest that this isn't it.

Who this is for

Independent consultants and advisors running their own business-development pipeline without a dedicated sales function, especially where engagements are relationship-driven and gaps between conversations are normal rather than a sign something's gone wrong.
